Wells The One is a rental-only product, not a purchase — but the rental price (~S$49/mo) bundles in unlimited servicing for the duration of the contract, which functionally equals an "all-you-can-eat" warranty. Tyent's 5-year warranty is genuine on the spec sheet. The catch in Singapore: no authorised SG distributor at the time of review. Warranty claim path goes through US or Korea. The "lifetime warranty" trap
If a salesperson says "lifetime warranty," ask exactly three follow-ups:
- Lifetime of WHAT? Plates only? Control board? Valves? Filters? Most "lifetime" claims cover only the plates.
- Whose lifetime — the unit's or yours? "Lifetime" sometimes means "as long as the brand keeps producing this model" (i.e. 5-10 years).
- Can I have the exclusion list in writing? If no, walk.
